2G wyłączamy, a M2M zostaje do 2023 i koniec dyskusji.
T-Mobile Netherlands has started shutting down its GSM network. The operator originally planned to end the 2G service in November 2020, but later delayed the move to 1 June 2021.
The GSM network was first launched in 1999 under the operator's previous name Ben. However, most voice and SMS traffic has been running over the 3G network for several years, and more recently on the 4G and 5G networks. The shutdown of the GSM network will free up spectrum for increasing 4G and 5G capacity.
Few customers should notice the end of GSM service. Only customers using a basic feature phone with only GSM support need to upgrade their devices. Other devices relying exclusively on the 2G network, notably M2M connections, will no longer be supported from 01 June 2023.
